1. SP is great and my classmates are even better.
For our orientation, we went to River Safari! Apparently this isn't the norm in SP and suffice to say, my friends were jealous. I told Alloy about River Safari and our freshman orientation bag and he was so jealous he gave me a betrayed look and went out of the room hahaha.
2. SP is really, really, really big.
At first when I heard people complain about how far the Hilltop (where CASS, my school, is located) was, I brushed it off because I thought it wasn't that far. And it still isn't, but rushing up so many stairs and running down long corridors when you've only got 8 minutes to get to class is no joke!! I've already taken to leaving my house an hour and 20 minutes before class but I still find myself scraping by the skin of my teeth.
CASS is also really isolated! It's at a tiny secluded corner of SP and so far away from civilisation. I'm kidding, but I'm a little jealous of the engineering school because llao llao frozen yogurt is going to be set up in their food court :(
But honestly, I think I'll get lost in school lots.
3. I've been really tired a lot.
I'm not even kidding, I crash at 8pm sometimes and sleep for 10 hours straight. My schedule isn't even that packed! I guess my modules are kinda intense? Well, the work is starting to pile up and get slightly intimidating so I've been getting less sleep.
4. I've taken up French and Japanese.
I know, I sound so hardcore, but I honestly am not. It's just my indecisiveness showing up again! I've always wanted to learn Japanese (come on, who didn't know that?) and French was a little more recent. But I think I like Japanese better, French is really tough! I can't do the "rrrr" at the back of my throat and the fast pace confuses me. Duolingo was better than school :/ But I will persevere!
5. I've fallen in love with The Civil Wars again.
I mean, I knew they were good, but then I listened to them on repeat while writing and I just. I really want all their albums and merch and to listen to them live!! I can only hope for them to reconcile.
I guess that's it for now? I will try to update more since I actually have a semblance of a life now.
